Oslo On The Cheap

Norway, and Oslo in particular might be the most expensive city in the world. But it does not need to ruin you. With some preparations and good advice we will show you how to survive.

Rules of thumb:
- Do not buy anything significant in Norway. Anything you need to buy, try buying it before you arrive.
- Accommodation is extremely expensive, try sharing accommodation or alternative forms of accommodation like sleeping in a tent, on a train, at the airport etc.
- Alcohol is extremely expensive. Buy small bottles of alcohol before you arrive and bring with you wherever you go. Simply buy a cocke at a bar and secretly fill in the rum from a mini-bottle yourself.
- Food is very expensive. Buy cheap in supermarkets and eat simple. Norway is not for gourmet-on-a-cheap. Rather eat mega frugal, go on a diet while visiting Norway.
